We are completely committed to recycling and re-purposing products and equipment when possible.
At OnSite Media, everything we remove from client locations in terms of hardware (displays, amplifiers, speakers, wire, electronic equipment, etc.) has to be recycled by law. Our team and our company are completely committed to recycling or re-purposing all products at end of life. In addition, we seek to work with major manufacturing partners who are fully aligned with our sustainability goals and practices.
Based in Park City, Utah, we are proud to be a part of our town that has set North America’s most ambitious climate goals: to be net-zero carbon and run on 100% renewable electricity for city operations by 2022, and for the whole community by 2032. These goals, passed unanimously by City Council with strong community support, are not just aspirational but achievable.
OnSite Media has from its inception embraced all the elements of sustainability as a core philosophy. Our infrastructure, procedures, systems, and people are dedicated to seeing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN Sustainable Development Summit come to fruition. We have prided ourselves from our beginning, on maintaining the lowest possible carbon footprint, using the most modern technologies and systems available, and partnering with some of the most sustainability conscious manufacturers in the world.
OnSite Media makes a promise to the environment to always maintain the lowest possible carbon footprint possible. Our business model has been consciously designed to make a minimal impact on the climate, and help reduce greenhouse gases and waste of any kind. We are made up of a group of earth-loving individuals who find great strength, solace, and rejuvenation in nature and work diligently to ensure it stays healthy and whole for future generations.

Climate change is a threat to human existence. How it impacts different regions varies, but we know that it’s happening, that human activities are causing the majority of greenhouse gas emissions, and that if we don’t act now the impacts are likely to be catastrophic. Local threats include increased risk of wildfire, air quality issues, drought, decreasing snowpack, and direct threats to Park City’s economy.
In 2016, Park City residents approached City Council to set ambitious goals that address climate change. We can see with our own eyes that winters are getting shorter, warmer and drier, that summers are getting hotter and drier; and that the science and observed data backs it up. The impacts of climate change threaten the future of our community identity if we don’t act now.

Park City Climate Initiatives
Energy Efficiency - Reducing our energy demand is the most important strategy for Park City to meet is carbon neutral goal. Energy efficiency is about reducing the amount of energy needed to do everyday activities such as heating our homes, moving around town, and producing goods and services.
Electrification- Another strategy to head towards the goal of net-zero carbon is to convert our energy from fossil based to renewable electricity. For example, Park City Municipal is converting its transit system from diesel powered buses to electric and setting up the charging infrastructure for personal electric vehicles. All new affordable housing that the City builds will be heated using electricity instead of natural gas.
100% Renewables - As we convert our energy demand from fossil fuels to electric, we also need to ensure that our electricity supply is emissions free. Electricity generated from renewables produces no greenhouse gas emissions. Regeneration - The emissions that Park City cannot eliminate will be balanced by removing carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in soils and biomass.
